1. What is a Flexographic Printing Plate?

Flexographic printing plates are flexible photopolymer plates, used in flexo printing to transfer ink & images to a flexible substrate, such as paper or film. The printing plates are a critical element of the flexographic printing process and the quality of the printed image is largely dependant on the quality of the flexo plates used.

4. What are Flexographic printing plates made of?

Originally, flexo plates were made from rubber, but today they are made from photopolymer material in sheet form but are flexible so they can be wrapped around the print cylinder.

7. What is your lead time for manufacturing and delivery?

If the artwork and master have been approved, then we can typically make and ship on the same day if ordered by 10:00 AM EST. If there are artwork changes or new master setup, the process takes a few days.

9. What kind of technical support do you offer?
We will work with your team on press setup, graphic file support, design and layout.

We are a DuPont Quality Assured Platemaker. We produce Photopolymer printing plates in a variety of thicknesses to match your press.

13. How long do your printing plates last?
Our plates should last many years. It all depends on how you take care of them. See our plate care and storage guide.
14. What type of Plate Material do we offer?

We are a DuPont Quality Assured Platemaker. We mainly make Flexo printing plates using both Analog and Digital DuPont Cyrel Material. We can offer other plate materials to fit any budget.

16. What is your process of troubleshooting printing plates?
We follow strict S.O.P’s so we can confidently produce accurate printing plates. We follow a 200-point checklist through production. We also use a camera system to inspect plates in our QA department before shipping.

18. How do I ensure longevity, and quality of the Printing plates?

To ensure plate longevity always clean the plates thoughly after a press run. Use a plate compatible cleaner, and store them out of UV light. You can see more detailed instructions in our plate care guide.
